Ontario Rebates on Furnaces and Air Conditioners

Ontario RebatesOntario Power Authority (OPA) – Rebates Available on Trane Heating and Cooling Systems

In the past, the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) only rebated homeowners who were upgrading their existing heating and cooling systems. As of January 1st, 2014, the Ontario Power Authority is now offering rebates on new installations, in addition to retrofit jobs.

This means that if you have a home that has no air conditioner, you can have one installed and apply for a rebate from the OPA. This is encouraging news and will translate into more homeowners taking advantage of the$250-$650 rebates offered on electrically efficient heating and cooling systems.

The Ontario Rebate breakdown:

  • The Trane XR13 Air Conditioner can now receive up to $650 in OPA rebates when installed with a Trane furnace (XT95, XV95) and the proper evaporator coil.
  • The Trane XR16 Air Conditioner can receive up to $400 in OPA rebates when installed with the proper evaporator coil (no new furnace required).
  • The Trane XR16 and XL16i, when installed with a Trane furnace (XT95, XV95, XC95m) and the proper evaporator coil, can receive up to $650 in OPA system rebates.
  • When installed with the proper Trane furnace and coil, other units can also receive up to $650 in rebates from OPA.

Units include our new TruComfort Variable Speed Air Conditioners (XV18 and XV20i) and our 2-Stage Air Conditioners (XR17 and XL18i).

The Ontario Power Authority website offers complete details on all of the rebates available. To find out what is right for your home schedule your free in home consultation from Impressive Climate Control, your local and trusted Heating and Cooling contractor.
